THINGS TO DO WHILE STAYING AT BRAEWOOD B&B
Braewood is set in the heart of Muskoka and is ideally located for accessing activities and outings with many of them right at our doorstep. We are only 10 minutes from Port Carling and just 20 minutes from Bala, Bracebridge & Windermere. Boating, hiking, golf, biking, shopping and great restaurants are just minutes away. There is something for everyone to enjoy. Here are some ideas to fill your days.....

No visit to Muskoka is complete without getting out on the lake to see the magnificent cottages and boathouses that Muskoka has become famous for. We now offer our own boat tour on Lake Muskoka leaving right from our dock. We'll take you along the infamous Millionaires Row with it's stunning cottages and wind our way through the Seven Sister Islands. And since we're in a relatively small boat, we take you to places the big tour boats can't go. You're also welcome to use our canoe and kayak. You can even bring your own boat and tie up to our dock; rent a boat from the nearby marina or take a cruise on the Segwun - a restored Muskoka Steamship. Either way, we can help you get out on the lake to see Muskoka the way it should be seen.

Hike right from our front door to Huckleberry Lookout for a spectacular view overlooking Lake Muskoka. There are many other hiking trails in the area. Bring your bicycles and ride right from Braewood along the quiet back roads of Muskoka. You can rent mountain bikes locally. There's lots to do in Muskoka but if you're just looking for a break, then grab a book and relax in our hammock or chaise lounge and do nothing until you feel the urge to take a dip in the lake.

The Decadent Braewood Adventure
A private float plane will arrive to pick up you up (we can make it a surprise if you want). You'll board the plane from our dock, take off and fly over the Muskoka Lakes up to Parry Sound. Your pilot, Dean Mortimer, will point out the different lakes, towns and landmarks along the way. You will then head out over Georgian Bay where and then land at an island for a 'catch of the day' dinner at Henry's Fish Restaurant. After dinner you'll then fly back to Braewood as the sun is settling over the horizon. A memorable experience. Bring your camera for this one. Please contact us to reserve.
